Laboratorium Sistem Produksi

       What you see above is today's technology. It is no longer the technology of the future, because this technology has been applied by advanced countries, such as America, Japan, and Europe since few years ago. This lab's goals are not creating new technology, but for students are to immediately adapt to the rapid industrial development especially in the field of Production System.
       In general, in fact, that the production process is divided into 2 technologies which are labor intensive and capital intensive. Or it could be a combination of both.These two technologies are used for learning and teaching approaches. The labor-intensive production process is applied to the APK Lab. There are such a process of cutting, bending, painting and assembly. The process is done by many humans rather than many sophisticated tools. And also focusing to the design of Workstation.
       Then the production process using capital-intensive or in other words Automation, applied to the Laboratory of Production Systems. Here happens the same process with the APK Lab but here very little is done by humans. In the process it is done by automatic equipment such as CNC, Robot Arm, CNC Laser Cutting, and Conveyor (Not yet ASRS). Although both had different technologies, both still have similarities in terms of using Trajectory or Production lines and resource management.
       This management is the field of Industrial Engineering study. For example, management in terms of material flow direction, CNC resource placement, initial material placement, placement of finished 1/2 material, human placement.
       There is also time management, when to start and when production should stop, determine how long the completion of work, so we need to manage the production speed as optimal as possible so there is no queue, no waste of energy, or prevent equipment from being damaged. So in addition to focusing on the technology itself, students must also focus on its management.
       Finally, the Lab's ultimate goal is to produce students who are able to design an production systems from ordinary technology (just want to be an operator) to the latest technology (Industrial Revolution 4.0) for those who wants to be the Real Engineer!
